Snake Drops on Man's Neck
Charles Hines had a thrilling ex-
perience while picking blackberries
at the ore mines Silver Spring.
He was picking berries from a bush
under a tree, when a good sized cop-
perhead snake dropped from the tree
and fell on his neck. Reaching back
Mr. Hines brushed the snake away
and then it fell into his berry bas-
ket, after which he lost no time in
dispatching the reptile. He was
fortunate in not being bitten.
