TO THE TAXABLE INHABITANTS OF LAN
CASTER COUNTY.
Pursuant to the provisions of the laws of the Com
monwealth, the undersigned Commissioners of Lan-
caster County, hereby give notice to every taxable
inhabitant within the respective boroughs, townships
and city of said county, that appeals from the person-
al property and militia assessment of 1902 will be held
in the County Commissioners’ Office, in the City of
Lancaster, on the days following, to wit :

No appeal will be considered except upon the days
designated for the respective districts unless satisfac-
tory reason is given for failure to come at the proper
time, and not then unless the person appealing is ac-
companied by the assessor of the district in which
the property under consideration is assessed.

Inder the law there can be no change in the valua-
tion of the real estate at these appeals, unless there
has been improvement or destruction of property, as
real estate can not be re-valued until the next trien-
nial year, no difference what prices it may have sold
at during the past year.
The Commissioners will sit to hear appeals from 9
to 12 o’clock in the morning and from 1 to 3 in the
afternoon, of the days designated. re-
quired to be in attendance during that time.
