Mr. Loose’s subject was ‘““Why Vote?"”’ “It is the duty of all citizens to vote,”’ he said. ‘It is the best way to show good citizenship. An invitation to the Columbia BPW'’s 55th birth- day party was read. The party was held at Hostetters on November 3. It was announced that over 100 afghans have been completed for the senior citizen’s Christmas project. Mrs. Don Straub distrib- uted tickets and brochures for the club’s Candlelight Tour to be held Sunday, November 23, from 2 to 7 pm. The Legislation commit- tee is arranging for the November 24 meeting. Trinity Lutheran Church Women The Lutheran Church Women of Trinity Lutheran Church, Mount Joy, remind you that it won’t be long ’til Christmas, and they can help you with gift ideas and suggestions at their third ‘Kountry Fair’’ to be held Friday, November 14, from 100 am to 9 pm, and Saturday, November 15, from 9 am to 2 pm in the Fellowship Hall of the West Main Street church. The ‘‘Kiddies Korner’ of the fair will include trim- mings for the family tree as well as $1.00 gift items for all ages. The gift items include ‘‘frustration’’ pen- cils, magnetic owls, book worms and mice ‘‘party favors.”’ Other booths will feature ceramics, baked goods, homemade candies, fra- grant herbs and spices, dried flower arrangements, crafts, sewing, creweling, knitting and attic treasures. The ‘Kountry Kitchen” will open at 11 am on Friday and Saturday, serving homemade soups, beef plan “Kountry Fair’ Noy. 14 & 15 bar-b-que, baked potatoes, hot dogs, and many ‘‘yum- my’’ items from ‘‘Kalorie Korner.”” There will be no bulk sales from the kitchen until 1 pm Saturday. Proceeds will benefit the new Scholarship Fund of Trinity Lutheran Church, Mount Joy, and World Hunger Appeal.
