held a fire equipment
demonstration for the kin-
dergarten and interim class-
es of Riverview Elementary
School Monday morning.
The demonstration was part
of National Fire Prevention
Week.
Afternoon activities in-
cluded “Do and Don’t”
instructions, a display of
equipment and a talk on fire
prevention for grades one
through six.
Marietta Fire Chief Barry
Eppley coordinated the
program.

5-11) with a breakfast and
open house last Saturday.
The open house included
a display of Firc Prevention
posters made by Seiler and
Elmtree ‘Elementary school
students. Poster winners
were announced at 10 am.

gallon hat. He was named
best dressed handler at the
day’s event.
Judges had a difficult
time keeping track of the
contestants. The racing
numbers, draped around the
goats’ necks had, in many
cases, been nibbled into
shreds.
Cub Pack 136
Mount Joy’s Cub Pack
#136 recently took a 12 mile
hike at Mt. Gretna under the
leadership of Robert Mark.
Other leaders were Ann
Mark, Kevin Mark, Bryan
Mark, John Auker, Vaughn
Mark, Swayne Jenkins,
Christine Lehman, Loretto
Dimeler and Nancy Turpin.
The cubs were: Eric
