Forest Fire Crew
begins fund drive
The Elizabethtown-Mount
Joy Forest Fire Crew will be
going door-to-door on their
annual fund drive during the
months of July and August,
in Mount Joy Township.
Crew members with pro-
per I.D., or in uniform, will
be collecting funds to
further reduce the indebted-
ness of the new Scat
mini-pumper purchased last
fall.
It is hoped that about
$1500 can be raised through
this fund drive. The entire
amount raised this year will
be paid on this piece of
equipment. This new unit
has been used on field fires
in the area and was used to
halt two major fires in the
Chiques Hill area of West
Hempfield Township. The
entire amount raised this
year will be paid on this
~ piece of equipment.
Anyone wishing to mail a
donation may do so by
sending it to: E-town, Mt.
Joy Forest Fire Crew, Inc.,
139 North Market St.,
