Three additional Brownie Troops of Mount Joy were the guests. Leader of the host troop is Spring Teleky who is assisted by Nancy Kulp. The group was treated to the Orange Bowl from McDonald’s at the conclusion of the event. Guest troops were #19 with leader Martha Bixler and assistant Madelyne Shutt; #319 with leader Donna McCurdy assisted by Sandy Farmer and #323 with leader Trudy Houck and assistant Betty Bitzer. Forest Fire Crew begins fund drive The Elizabethtown-Mount Joy Forest Fire Crew will be going door-to-door on their annual fund drive during the months of July and August, in Mount Joy Township. Crew members with pro- per I.D., or in uniform, will be collecting funds to further reduce the indebted- ness of the new Scat mini-pumper purchased last fall. It is hoped that about $1500 can be raised through this fund drive. The entire amount raised this year will be paid on this piece of equipment. This new unit has been used on field fires in the area and was used to halt two major fires in the Chiques Hill area of West Hempfield Township.
