is for East Donegal Town-
ship Area children ages 10
and under.

Rebecca Zimmerman of
Mount Joy will take part in
Elizabethtown College’s an-
nual spring choral concert to
be held Sunday, March 30,
at the Elizabethtown Church
of the Brethren. Miss
Zimmerman will play the
bassoon in the instrumental
group accompanying the
various college choral
groups. She is a freshman at
Elizabethtown College.

mann III, son of Mrs. Phil
McKenna of 507 Garnett
Road, Joppatowne, Md.,
has graduated from the U.S.
Air Force avionics instru-
ment systems course at
Chanute Air Force Base in

assigned to Dover Air Force
Base, Dover, Del., for duty.

Honor Society, Menendez
Pidal Chapter, at Donegal
High School: Michael Frey,

newly elected members on
Friday, May 2, 1980, at the
Annual Foreign Language
Department Banquet. The
Hispanic Honor Society is a
national organization of
students who have excelled

the Donegal Chapter of the
Society is attained by
achieving a 4.0 average
during the first seven
nine-week marking periods
of study of the language.
Students are then required

is Glenn E. Hess, Spanish
instructor at the high school.

R. Leas, Maytown, Pa.
recently completed the
Primary Leadership Course
in Germany.
The course is designed to
train men who have been
selected by their com-
manders for advancement
as non-commissioned
offficers.
Leas is a military police-
man with the 615th Military
Police Company in Illes-
heim, Germany.

Donald Rossman of
Mount Joy, age 9, won first
place in the central Pennsyl-
vania division of an art show
for the mentally handi-
capped held in Harrisburg
last week.
Donald, son of Mr. and
Mrs. Richard Rossman, won
with his painting of a King
Cobra.
The painting will now be
entered in the statewide
contest.

at 4-H meeting, April 11
Wild Flowers are a
heritage that we must pass
along to our future genera-
tions. Only by learning to
identify them correctly and
studying their habitats, can
we protect the rare species.
If you are interested in
learning to identify the
wildflowers and enjoy
hiking, come to the first
meeting of the new 4-H club
on Friday, April 11th at 7
pm. It will be at the home of
the leader, Mrs. Lloyed
Bowers, on Mitchell Ave. in

Michelle McMillen and
Victor Eisenhaurer, Jr. have
been elected girl and boy of
the month by the students of
room #50 at Riverview
Elementary School, Mariet-
ta.
Michelle, the daughter of
Mr. and Mrs. Marlin
McMillen, Longenecker Av-
enue, Marietta, was sited
for being a good citizen who
uses her time wisely and
helps her mother and father
clean. Michelle does not
disturb others and she
enjoys taking care of her
parakeet. She attends
Brownies every week.
Victor, the son of Mr. and
Mrs. Victor Eisenhauer, 562
E. Market Street, Marietta,
is a good citizen who is
concerned about others. He
is described as an honest
and true friend who apolo-

Pinewood Derby at Park
City. They are Jeffery Suter,

The group will hike in
different areas of Lancaster
County on Sunday after-
noons in April. The first hike
will be to Shenk’s Ferry
Glen Wildflower Preserve
on April 13.
