Beahm Jr. High School recently. 150 attended, with 37 boys racing and 17 adults racing. The following are the winners: 1st, Jeffrey Suter; 2nd, Kirk Landis; 3rd, Christop- her Augenstein. Adult Winner: Paul Suter. held at the Craft Days event. Jackie Gainer won the ceramic owl, and Nancy Smith won the ceramic pitcher and bowl set. All winners were from Mount Joy. The Joycee-ettes sent out a special thank you to the Bridal Boquet, Spayd’s Ceramic Shop and A Friend of the Joycee-ettes for donations and time spent on the project. MJ Cub Pack 136 holds annual pine wood derby The judges were Bernard Grissinger and William Heisey. Cubmaster Robert Mark presented a Bobcat to Brian Charles. Charles Heaps presented the adult award for the race. The sponsor of the derby was Peter Paul Cadbury, Inc., Mount Joy Div. The programs were printed by N.C.R., Mount Joy, Pa. Registration hours will be between 8:30 am and 3:30 pm. Parents should register their child at the school nearest to their home. It is not necessary to bring the child to the: registration center. In order to be eligible for fall enrollment, the child must be five years old on or before September 3, 1980. Documents proving birth- dates and immunization records should be taken to the registration centers. The law states that no child will be allowed to enter school for the first time without a record of the required immunizations. Immuniza- tions required for a child entering school are: Diptheria, 3 doses of toxoid; Tetanus, 3 doses of toxoid; Polio, 3 doses of trivalent oral vaccine; Measles, 1 dose of vaccine or physician verified history of disease; German Measles (Ru: bella), 1 dose of vaccine; Mumps, Mumps vaccine is usually combined with measles and rubella vac- cine. Parents wishing to enroll a child in first grade who has had no previous kinder- garten should contact Gene Newcomer at any of the elementary schools. Additional information concerning kindergarten will be available at the registration centers.
