Main St., Mount Joy. The widow of William Charles Campbell, she had been ill for more than four years. A member of Glossbren- ner United Methodist Church, she was a former Sunday Schodl teacher at Conestoga United Metho- dist Church for 25 years. An elementary school teacher in Conestga Township before she retired, she was also a member of the Mount Joy Senior Citizens Association. A daughter of the late Elias and Delilah Warfel Eshbach, she was born in Pequea Township, and was a lifetime resident of the county. She is survived by the following children: Gladys, wife of Chester M. Brown, and Verna, wife of Charles L. Slaugh, both residing in Lancaster; Barbara Jane, wife of Harold H. Eshleman, Mount Joy; John E. Camp- bell, Lancaster; six grand- children; ten great-grand- children. She was the last of her immediate family. MRS. RUSSEL B. KIMMEL Dorothy L. Kimmel, 49, Mount Joy Rl, died at Heatherbank nursing home, Columbia. She was the wife of Russel B. Kimmel. She was a member of Cross Roads Bible Chapel in Lancaster. A daughter of Dorothy Lentz Ross, Lan- caster and the late Raymond Lentz, she was born in Camden, N.J. She is survived by three daughters, in addition to her mother and husband. They are Rachelle, wife of Donald Yoder, York; Donna, wife of Keith Mullens, R1 Eliza- bethtown; and Odessa Kim- mel, at home; two grand- children; and one brother, Alex Ross, Sporting Hill. JOSEPH G. KRamER Joseph G. Kramer, form- erly of Mount Joy, died at the Mennonite Home where he had resided for the past eight years. He was 87. Mr. Kramer lived most of his life in the Mount Joy area and was a member of the Mount Joy Mennonite Church. He had been employed by the Red Rose Dairy of Mount Joy for 30 years. He retired in 1963. Born in Mount Joy, he was the son of the late Joseph R. and Susan Gallecher Kramer. Surviving are nephews and nieces. several MRS. JERSEY LEONARD Mrs. Nora M. Leonard, 72, R1 Mount Joy, died at St. Joseph Hospital, after a two-week illness. The wife of Jersey Leonard, she was the daughter of the late Charles and Emily Worley Lehigh. A member of the Florin Church of the Brethren, she was a resident of Mount Joy for SS years. She was born in Hanover. Surviving besides her husband is a daughter, Mrs. Elizabeth A. Jenkins, Purto Real, Puerto Rico; two grandchildren; two sisters: Fanny, wife of John Mickey, New Oxford RD; and Ruth, wife of Frank Pierce, Hanover; a brother, Roy Lehigh, Milway. MONROE M. SNAVELY Monroe M. Snavely, 79, 312 N. Barbara St., Mount Joy, died at his home. Death was unexpected, but he had been under the care of a physician. The husband of Martha Brubaker Snavely, he was born in Rapho Township, a son of the late Jacob B. and Emma Metzler Snavely. Retired in 1967, he was last employed by the Wolgemuth Feed Mill, in Mount Joy. He was a member of the Elizabeth- town United Zion Church, the Florin Fire Co., and the Mount Joy Sportsmen’s Association. Surviving in addition to Local family homeless after fire on Sunday .. Maytown family was left homeless from a fire at their home on Sunday. The Michael Drace family residing at 12 W. High St., Maytown, were driven out of their home when an 8:42a.m. fire gutted their concrete bungalow. When fire and smoke spread rapidly from a downstairs bedroom into a furnace room, and escalated through the heat ducts and partitions, the parents and five children walked to safety. There were no injuries. State and county fire marshals said the source of the apparently accidental fire may have been a cigarette lighter, but the cause rerains under inves- tigation. Damage was esti- mated at $40,000 to the home and $20,000 to the contents. The family stayed with Drace’s parents in Maytown and the Red Cross assisted with immediate needs. Most of the loss was covered by insurance. Snavely, Eliza- bethtown R3; Elam D. Snavely, Martha, wife of Gordon Koelbl, Esther, wife of Clayton B. Myer, all of Manheim; Ruth, wife of Elmer Petticoffer, Pasa- dena, Calif.; and Martin D. Snavely, Manheim. Births CARPER, Mr. and Mrs. Ronald (Barbara Prussman), 565 Staufer Court, Mount Joy, a son, at General Hospital. COLEMAN, Mr. and Mrs. Dan T. (June Ann Bubb), MRS. LUCY STEELE Mrs. Lucy Wagner Steele, a native of Marietta, died Feb. 3 at her residence in Portland, Ore. A daughter of the late Mary Jane Portner Wagner and Henry T. Wagner, she was born in Marietta. She served as a nurse in the U.S. Army in World War 1 Surviving is a son, George Steele, Dalls, Oregon, one brother, Horace Wagner, Mount Joy R1; a sister, Mrs. Gertrude Justice, Glendale, Calif; and 4 grandchildren.
