William Eby was chosen for the Donegal School District Authority. Lester Hostetter was picked for the vacancy board. Virginia Horst was select- ed to fill out for two years a vacancy on the ‘borough council, representing the west ward. It was agreed, after some discussion, that borough council would meet, as previously, on the second Monday of each month, at 7:30 p.m. in the borough hall. New member Ricedorf suggested that charging the new increased garbage collection rate of $36 per month be postponsed for a month—to provide relief for citizens overburdened with Christmas expenses, in- creased fuel costs, other increased utility bills, and other expenses piled up near the first of the year. Reaction of council was favorable to Ricedorf’s suggestion, but no legal way of following it seemed possible. Charles W. Ricedorf was first elected to the Mount Joy Borough Council eight years ago. Four years ago he was elected president of the council. For personal reasons, he resigned last year from the council. Later this year he decided to run for council again. In an interview with the Times last year he stated that he had always wanted to be involved in town government. Ricedorf is operations manager of the Sico cr, secretary; Jack H. Frank, P.M., George W. Rhoads, P.M. and R.C. Howell, P.M., trustees; and Daniel Bowles P.M., rep- resentative to Grand Lodge. A native of Rheems, he lives with his wife the former Joyce Berrier, and their daughters Stacey and Stephanie, and their dog Fifi, at 242 Park Avenue, Mount Joy. The Ricedorfs are members of St. Mark’s United Methodist Church. Robert D. Stoner was president of the Mount Joy Jaycees last year and is currently director of Region 8 of the Pennsylvania Jaycees. He was graduated from Dongeal High School and from Triangle Institute of Technology, from which he received an associate’s degree in architectural drafting. He is general manager of Mark One Construction Company, Lancaster. Stoner is the son of Harvey and Beatrice Stoner who live at 121 West Main Street, Mount Joy. Robert D. Stoner is married to the former Cynthia Herman of Landis- ville. Robert and Cynthia live with their daughters Stephanie and Nicole, at 25 North Barbara Street, Mount Joy. John W. Harnish was born in Soudersburg but moved as a second grader to Mount Joy with his parents, Samuel S. and Mary Jane Harnish. Samuel Harnish recently retired as principal of Beahm Junior High School. John W. Harnish gradu- ated from Donegal High and then from West Chester State College with a degree in physical education. Har- nish. is currently doing graduate work at Millers- ville State College, for a master’s degree in element- ary education. Harnish teaches physical education at East Peters- burg Elementary School. He is married to the Former LaVon Manning, who is a teacher ' at Riverview Elementary, Ma- rietta.
