Cute saying
from Riverview
[this item for our cute
sayings section was donated
by LaVon Harnish. —Ed.]
Mrs. Harnish and her
second grade class at River-
view were discussing a
Social Studies unit on
“‘Schools.”’” They were com-
paring various types of
schools when a student
asked, ‘‘Who owns our
school?’
One boy answered, confi-
dently, ‘‘Mr. Zimmerman!’
Mrs. Harnish explained
that Mr. Zimmerman is the
principal at Riverview but
he doesn’t own the school.
David Bartles was certain
that it was Mrs. Flanagan,
the secretary. Lloyd
Kennedy took another guess
—" ‘Mr. Long?”’ (the
_ custodian).
This opened the door to a
very informative discussion
on who actually ‘‘owns’’ and
finances our school, in fact
all the schools in our
district.
