His topic will be, ‘“The Politics of Energy.”’ He will discuss solutions to the energy crisis and nuclear vs. solar power. He holds a Ph.D. in biology from Harvard, and has received six honorary degrees in science, and one in law. He is now professor of environmental science at Washington University, and is chairman of the board of the Center for the Biology of Natural Systems. He has written six books. The Susquehanna Valley Alliance has invited Dr. Commoner to Lancaster as part of their lecture series on energy. The meeting is free and open to the public. Community Gallery to have ‘‘Art Sunday”’ ‘‘Art Sunday’ will take place on Oct. 7th, from noon to 4:00, in the Lancaster area. Project co-chairmen Sue Thomas and Cindy Stoner reported on preparations for a fashion show card party, which will be held Wednes- day evening, Nov. 14, at the American Legion.
