Ms. Krantz is the Susquehanna Times’ adver- tising manager. 888 Major (Doctor) Barry R. Barnhart, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Jay S. Barnhart, Sr., of 47 Detwiler Ave., Mount Joy, has graduated from the U.S. Air Force medical service officer orientation course at Sheppard AFB in Texas. Major Barnhart now goes to the U.S. Air Force Hospital at Patrick AFB in Florida, where he will serve as a flight surgeon. The major, a 1959 grad- uate of Donegal High, Mount Joy Community rehearse Chorus The Mount Joy Commun- ity Chorus will get into full swing for the 1979-80 season with its first rehearsal on Tuesday, September 4th, at 7:30 PM in the Fellowship Hall of Trinity Lutheran Church, West Main Street, Mount Joy. The Chorus was formed in 1971 by inviting all members of church choirs in the area and persons in Mount Joy and neighboring towns, who were interested in music and enjoyed singing, to join the group. The first appearance of the chorus, under the direction of Miss Dorothy E. Schock, was a ‘‘Christmas Music in the Park’’ program sponsored by the Mount Joy Community Council. Since its inception the group has sung for many church and commmunity functions as well as numerous homes, camp meetings at Mt. Gretna and Landisville, the Masonic Hearing on Sept. Sth on local development The Lancaster County Redevelopment Authority will conduct a public hearing on September Sth to review the progress and perform- ance of Lancaster County’s Commnuity Development Program, sponsored by the County Commissioners. The meeting will be held at 7:30 at Donegal High School, located on Route 141 near Mount Joy. to received his bachelor’s degree in 1963 from F&M, and his M.D. from Temple University in 1967. Front ° St., Marietta, has reported for duty at the U.S. Naval Air Facility in Sigon- ella, Sicily. §8§ Scott A. Madara of 337 W. Donegal St., Mount Joy, the son of Mrs. Ruth Shoop, 70S W. Main St., Mount Joy. is one of 110 students who received master’s degrees from Millersville State College on August 24th. Miss Schock, the director, is well-known for her work with musical organizations and many outstanding choral productions at Mc- Caskey High School in Lancaster before her retire- ment. Mrs. Carole Bubacz of Mount Joy is the pianist. The members of the chorus extend an invitation to anyone who enjoys singing to join the group as they rehearse on the 1st and 3rd Tuesdays of every month at 7:30 PM at Trinity Lutheran Church. Officers of the Chorus are: John F. Way, Jr, president; Mrs. Jane Drenner, secretary; Alice Keller, treasurer; Sandra Heisey and Mrs. Dorothy Heilig, librarians; Verna Brandt, telephone squad chairwoman; Loren Rabhe, properties chairperson; and Mrs. Dorothy Heilig, public relations.
