Stamp Club news Although the Mount Joy Stamp Club was organized in 1964, it was not until February 10, 1976 that a special cachet was develop- ed and put on the market honoring the 125th anniver- sary of the incorporation of Mount Joy into a borough. Another cachet has been designed and is on the market. The Mount Joy Stamp Club will be sponsor- ing the Stamp Show and Bourse, which will be held at the Trading Post Center Show Building, 451 W. High Street, Elizabethtown, Sat- urday June 30 and Sunday July 1 and will be open both days from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM. During these two days you will find competitive exhibits, special cachet covers, and nationally known dealers will be offer- ing for sale, stamps, covers and postal stationery. It is open to the public and admission is free. For this special event the cachet designed by the Mount Joy Stamp Club will show on the envelope a picture of the station, which. has been torn down, the foot bridge that crosses the tracks, the elevator and the station at the east bound tracks. Inside the envelope is a card with the history of the railroad coming to Mount Joy. These covers can be purchased for 35 cents each or three for a dollar. Some will have a stamp and be postmarked on the opening day of the stamp show and these will be SO cents each. The covers may be ordered by sending a stamped self-addressed en- velope to Mrs. Joseph Shaeffer, President, Mount Joy Stamp Club, 127 Park Avenue, Mount Joy, Pa. 17552. People living in the Mount Joy area may purchase them direct from the Stamp Club. Serious thought will be given to having other special cachets telling the stories of past history or new things happening in Mount Joy. —Jos.
