Career Talk Day at Beahm Junior High
Last Thursday Beahm
Junior High School held its
first Career Talk Day.
Community People from 14
different occupations came
to tell the kids about their
work. :
A wide range of jobs was
represented to the students.
Below is a list of those who
came:
Dale Arnold auto repair
Dennis Fackler banking
Donna Wetzel beautician
Louis Stehman
grocery store manager
Dr. Keith Stewart
Dr. Richard Charles
Patricia McKee
Joyce Embley
Marilyn Etsell
medical professions
Rev. Roger Colvin minister
Maurice photography
Nancy and Nick Bromer

Harold Keller realtor
Trooper Romaine Engle
State Police officer
surveying
William Sell
Brenda Greiner
welding co. representative
Dale Arnold not only
talked about auto repair—he
also showed a film that is
used as a reference by
servicemen. Mr. Arnold,
who is president of the
Donegal School Board, drew
the largest number of kids
—54.
The career talks lasted
one period each, and ran for
two consecutive periods.
Thus each Beahm student
got to hear two talks by two
or more people.

New
regulations
New federal regulations
require that persons serving
on ESEA Title 1 Parent
Advisory Councils be elec-
ted to membership. To
comply with the regulations,
a formal election of mem-
bers to the district council
will be held on Monday,
May 21 at 7:00 PM at
the Riverview Elementary
School in the Large Group
Instruction Room. If you are
a parent of a child ages 5-21
and are a resident of the
Donegal School District,
coma out and vote on May
21st.
The majority of district
council members must be
parents of students who are
in the Title I reading
improvement program.
Other members may include
parents of eligible children
not currently participating
in the program, residents of
the district, and teachers. If
you would like to be
considered for membership
or would like to hold an
office please contact the
