May 16, 1979 Career Talk Day at Beahm Junior High Last Thursday Beahm Junior High School held its first Career Talk Day. Community People from 14 different occupations came to tell the kids about their work. : A wide range of jobs was represented to the students. Roger Colvin minister Maurice photography Nancy and Nick Bromer publishing Harold Keller realtor Trooper Romaine Engle State Police officer surveying William Sell Brenda Greiner welding co. representative Dale Arnold not only talked about auto repair—he also showed a film that is used as a reference by servicemen. Mr. Arnold, who is president of the Donegal School Board, drew the largest number of kids —54. The career talks lasted one period each, and ran for two consecutive periods. To comply with the regulations, a formal election of mem- bers to the district council will be held on Monday, May 21 at 7:00 PM at the Riverview Elementary School in the Large Group Instruction Room. If you are a parent of a child ages 5-21 and are a resident of the Donegal School District, coma out and vote on May 21st. The majority of district council members must be parents of students who are in the Title I reading improvement program. Other members may include parents of eligible children not currently participating in the program, residents of the district, and teachers.
