Bomberger is new youth minister Larry Bomberger Larry Bomberger, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Carl E. Bomberger of RDI Leola, has been assigned a quite challenging job. He is the new youth minister for the West Green Tree Church of the Brethren, RD2, Mount Joy. Larry graduated from Conestoga Valley High School, and is a junior at Messiah College, majoring in behavior science. Christ- ian education plays a big part in his studies and he is not only looking forward to being a part of the youth but has already been working with them and is well liked, not only by the youth but all members of the church. This campaign began on March 30th with a meeting in Lewisburg. According to Father Red, priest of St. John’s of Marietta, subse- quent meetings will be held in each of the diocese’s seven convocations. St. John’s hosted a meeting on April 26th. Members of St. John’s who are participating in the campaign are team captains Mary Portner, Phil Kling, Steve Bowers, and Robert Long, campaign chairman Dan Mackinson, campaign treasurer Earl Marley, and Gene Marley, Terry Shope, - : and Henry Snavely. The entire diocese hopes to raise at least $500,000. Half of the earnings will be sent to the national church office, and the rest used locally for missions, working with youth, the deaf, and the elderly, and buying electronic communications equipment. The campaign will run through May.
