Walker attends
Marietta meeting
The Marietta Restora-
tionists held a town
meeting about the new
flood law. Congressman
Bob Walker and about 45
citizens attended.
Little that was definite
came out of the meeting.
However, Mr. Walker
promised to help Marietta,
and said that his people
might be able to speed
things up if the town
decides to apply for an
expanded historic district
or Pennsylvania Inventory
listing as protection from
the ““S0%’’ rule of the new
floodplain regulations.

Donegal High student
council wants to meet
board members for lunch
on February 7th to discuss
improving the school

Vandalism
A rash of vandalism
seems to have broken out
in the district. Several
months ago, Mr. Hallgren
noted that two windows
had been broken at the
high school, and comment-
ed on the rarity of
vandalism here. Since then,
however, broken windows
have become more com-
mon. Two more were
smashed in the high school
shop in the last month.
In addition, more than

$1000 worth of equipment
was taken from the Beahm
science room. $165 worth
of mercury was spilled, and
the burglars also took
weights and precision
scales, presumably for use
in weighing drugs. They
also broke into the nurse’s
office, apparently looking
for something to get high
on. $9.00 in cash was also
taken.
Mr. Hallgren speculated
that the burglars were
familiar with the building.

If not all can be reached

Once this is taken care
