Tammy skating again Skating competition is back and so are the Flowers sisters. Tammy Flowers, seven, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Jay Flowers of Marietta, received first place in Primary Figures on Sunday, Septem- ber 24th at Hagy’'s Fountainblu Arena. Tammy also skated Elemen- tary Beginner Figures and took third place. Candy is skating a new division this year. She is skateing Juvenile Figures, which she took third place. Candy and her dance partner, Randy Cramer, took first place in Juvenile Dance. They also skated Elementary Beginner Dance and took first place. Candy skated Pick-A-Partner, which she skated with Mr. Jack Miller from York, Pa. They took second place. Obituaries Roger Jay Ginder, 16, of Mount Joy R2, died September 26 at St. Joseph Hospital from complications of injuries sustained in a school bus-car crash September 15 on rain-slick Route 230. Ginder’s sister, Judy, 14, one of two passengers in the car, was admitted to Hershey Medical Center with multiple injuries. She is still a patient there, listed in satisfactory condition. Born in Lancaster, Ginder was the son of James W. and Marlene Gruber Ginder. He was a lifelong resident of the Mount Joy R2 area. He attended West Green Tree Church of the Brethren, Mount Joy R2. Ginder, a junior at Donegal High School, was employed part-time on a farm owned by a neighbor, Arlin Balmer. Surviving in addition to his parents and sister, Judy Ann Ginder, are two brothers, Randy Joe and Ricky James Ginder, all at home; maternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Norman Gruber, Mount Joy R3, and paternal grandfather, Victor Ginder, Mount Joy RE HRIRG. fan CGY eh 2 October 4, 1978 Proposed agenda of Mount Joy Council meeting The proposed agenda .for the Mount Joy Borough Council meeting to be held on Monday, October 9, 1978, at 7:30 P.M., in the Borough Offices Building, 21 East Main Street, Mount Joy, is as follows: 1. Consider the adoption of Ordinance No. 398 amending and updating the traffic ordinance. 2. Receive the third quarter financial report. 3. The public health nurses also invite all community persons inter- ested in having their blood pressure checked to come between 11:00 and 12 noon on the same days. Correction An ad in last weeks issue stated family memberships for the 1978-79 Marietta Area Ambulance Associa- tion was $5.00. It should have been $6.00 for a family membership including college students. Thomas B. Grosh Jr., 63, of 28-38 3Sth St., Long Island City, N.Y., formerly of Marietta, was killed in an automobile accident September 24 at Routes 82 and 340 in Valley Township, Chester County. He was the husband of Eleanor Wangerin Grosh. A school teacher, Grosh taught in the Branford, Conn. school system. He served as a first lieutenant in the Army Air Corps during World War II. Grosh was a graduate of the former Marietta High School and Millersville State College. Born in Marietta, he was a son of the late Thomas B. and Bessie M. Hipple Grosh Sr. In addition to his wife, he is survived by two sons and a daughter: Dr. Thomas B. Grosh III, Marietta; Dr. William W. Grosh, Park Falls, Wis., and Susan E.
