July 26, 1978 : Glenn Bradley to become Eagle Scout Glenn Glenn A. Bradley, son of Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth R. Bradley of Manheim R4 and a member of Master- sonville Boy Scout Troop 10 will receive his Eagle Scout Award on Wednesday night, July 26, 1978 at the Mastersonville Firehall in a special Court of Honor Ceremony. Glenn was presented the award by his former scout- master Mr. Robert F. Miller who is now a member of the District Committee. He is 13 1/2 years old and will enter the 8th grade at Manheim Central Junior High School in September. He is a member of the Lawn E.C. Church and Sunday School and is active in the Youth Group, Bible Quiz Team, and is also the librarian. He was Top Sentinel in the Boy’s Brigade. He was also Boy of the Month and class president last year at school. Glenn has been active in scouts 4 1/2 years; 2 in Cubs and 2 1/2 in Boy Scouts. He has earned his God and Country Award, . Bradley attended Brownsea 22 leadership Training, and is a Brotherhood Member in the Wunita Gokhos Lodge Chicques Chapter of the Oder of the Arrow. In his troop he has held the positions of Assistant Sen- ior Patrol Leader, Patrol Leader, and is now serving as Senior Patrol Leader. He has earned all 12 Skill Awards and 26 Merit Badges. For his Eagle Project, Glenn made up Christmas food boxes for five needy families in the Lancaster- Lebanon Council. He was helped by several club groups, businessmen, and private citizens, who furn- ished money, food, and a gift for each member of the family. The project was very well received by the community. Glenn is the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. Edgar W. Mayers of Maytown, and Mr. and Mrs. Earl J. Bradley of Manheim R2 and the great-grandson of Mrs. William E. Mayers of Maytown. Kiss Me Kate to be presented in Middletown The Middletown Com- munity Players will present Kiss Me, Kate, the musical by Cole Porter and Bella Spewack, on July 28, 29, and 30—that’s this week- end—and on August 4, S, and 6. The show will be staged at the Olmstead Base Theater at Harrisburg In- ternational Airport. Friday and Saturday shows are at 8:30, Sunday shows are at 2:30 in the afternoon.
