They are only posing as sun worshippers in the photo above at the request of the photographer]. The kids made solar reflectors from umbrellas which they lined on the inside with aluminum foil. In the first round, under the pitching of Keith Mueller, the Blues outscor- ed Salunga 14-6. The quar- terfinals were played on Sunday, with Daryl Frey hurling a one-hitter, over- coming Manheim 11-1. The semifinal game was played on Monday with pitchers Joe Garber and Keith Mueller. It was an exciting come-from-behind victory over Manor Ridge, 8-6. Arthur Zuch, Area Citizen Arthur Zuch of Marietta will get the first Donegal Area Citizen’s Award from the Marietta Lions Club when they meet at the Colonial Inn. Zuch, a life-long Mari- etta resident, was chosen for his civic and religious activity. He is a past president of the Marietta Lions, chairman of the eye bank project, and has served on a number of committees for the organi- zation. > Zuch is a graduate of Marietta High School. He is a coach of boys’ baseball and basketball teams. A life member of Zion Lutheran Church, he was a Sunday school teacher and choir singer there, as well The championship game was played later in the day. Daryl Frey picked up another win behind the hard hitting Mount Joy Blues, edging Strasburg 4-2. The trophies were award- ed to the first and second place teams by the Manor Ridge Athletic Association. as Sunday school superin- tendent. Zuch is retired as a milk- man for Pensupreme.
