The Rev. Ronald Gibson officiated and John Hostetter, brother of the groom, assisted in the double-ring candlelight ceremony. The bride, a . 1976 graduate of Donegal High School, is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. J. Melvin Longenecker of 308 N. Barbara Street, Mount Joy. The groom, a 1975 grad- uate of Selinsgrove Area High School, is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Elvin Hostetter of RD #1, Winfield, PA. The couple will both begin their third year at Lancaster Bible College in September. Given in marriage by her father, the bride wore a gown of chifon over taffeta with a lace bodice and cape. Her veil was floor length. She carried a bouquet of white roses and white daisies. Miss Debra Hay, May- town, was maid of honor. Miss Carol Edris and Miss Pamela Hostetter, sister of the groom, were brides- maids. Mr. Ray Reichenbach of Shamokin Dam was the best man. Tim and Dave Hostetter, brothers of the groom, and John Longe- necker, brother of the bride, were ushers. Joel Longenecker, brother of the bride, was the ring bearer, and Laura Schneider was the flower girl. Acolyte was Richard Longenecker, brother of the bride. John Hostetter and Beth Robertson were gift receivers and guest regis- trars. The organist was Mrs. David Smith, and Miss Holly Hastings was the soloist. Dean Bricker and Greg Zimmerman played their trumpets. The recep- tion was held at Hostetter’s Banquet Hall. After a wedding trip to Kentucky, the couple will reside in Lancaster. Nyes celebrate Golden Anniversary Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Nye, 121 W. High St. Maytown, celebrated their golden wedding anniver- sary, Friday, May 26. They were married in Maytown in 1928 by Squire C.C. Hicks. The Nyes have four children: Josephine, Col- umbia; Gertrude, wife of Raymond Shifflet, Mount Joy; William, Marietta, and Robert, Lancaster. There are also 17 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren. Mrs. Mary Nye is employed by the Maytown Shoe Co. and Mr.Nye is retired from the Marietta Depot.
