We goofed again! This picture ran in last week’s Times, but, for some inexplicable and highly suspicious reason, the caption that should have been under it wasn’t—a total blank. Here’s what should have been there: Mrs. Helen Pennell, left, was honored by Seiler School in Mount Joy and the Home Association on May 9th at the time of her retirement as a crossing guard. Mrs. Pennell served in this capacity for 21 years, and helped many children in that time. Standing on the right in the photo above is art teacher Cheryl Wise, who made the fraktar the two are holding for Mrs. Pennell. The fraktur doesn’t show up very well in the photo, but if you could see it, you would say that it is beautiful. The Times apologises to Mrs. Pennell, Ms. Wise, and our readers for our carelessness. Denise Grimm wins $500 scholarship Denise Grimm, of Box 107, RD1 Marietta, has won a $500 scholarship from the Lancaster County Farm and Home Founda- tion.
