It will be held in the Cafetorium at the Narnia comes to life C.S. Lewis’s mythical kingdom of Narnia will come to life on May 13 and 14 at 7:30PM in the Con- gregational Bible Church, Bypass 441, Marietta, Pa., when the College and Career Players present a musical adaptation of his children’s classic, The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe. The promise in the opening song to ‘‘show a glimpse of Narnia, the land of the Lion’s roar, where children can be queens and kings,”’ is kept as the four children, played by Linda Kaufman, Leanna Hotten- stein, Tom Metzler and Dave McBride, enter Nar- nia through the wardrobe. There they meet Mr. Tumnus the faun, the White Witch, Mr. and Mrs. Beaver, Father Christmas, and of course, Aslan. These inhabitants of Narnia are portrayed by John Jenkins, Alice Chonka, Jeff Bryant, Marilyn Ebersole, Bob Longenecker and Bur- nell Hiestand, respectively. The script was adapted from the book by Arneda Crichton, the songs com- posed by Ed Brainerd and arranged by Charlene Con- klin. The musical is directed by lain Crichton.
