Hubbard. Dr. Donald R. Hubbard was installed as Senior Minister of Calvary Baptist Church, New York in September 1976. He was reared in a Christian home and made his decision for Christ at an early age. He was called to Christian service while studying at a secular university. He has held pastorates in Ohio, Florida, and Pennsylvania. He is a well-known Bible confer- ence speaker. He has served as a member of several mission boards. He has traveled extensively overseas minis- tering to missionaries. Dr. Hubbard has had an extensive background in radio and has maintained a radio ministry throughout his pastoral career. He is now the voice of the Calvary Radio Ministry. He and His wife, Joy, St. John’s Lutheran Church to hold bake sale The youth group of St. John’s Evangelical Luther- an Church, from Maytown, is having a bake sale on Saturday, April 29th, in front of Greer’s Jewelry store in Mount Joy. Festival of Praise The West Greentree Church of the Brethren, RD2 Mount Joy, invites the general public to attend a musical concert, ‘‘Exper- ience in Worship and Praise,”’ by Thurlow Spurr, on April 30, at 7:30 PM. The concert will be presented by the youth choir of the Midway Church of the Brethren, of which Rev. L. John Weaver is the pastor. Mrs. Norman Keller will be the director of the concert, with Suzanne Keller as accompanist and Steven King at the drums. Mark Reinford and Roy Wenger will be the guitar- ists. James Wenger will narrate. Rev. Glenn Goshorn, pastor of the church, invites you to this evening of songs of praise and audience participation. Zion Church to hold food sale The Zion Lutheran Church Women of Marietta will hold a food sale on Saturday, April 29, starting at 9 AM. The benefit will feature home made vege- table soup, cake, pies, hot dogs and sauerkraut. Preparing for the event are Mrs. J.R. Daily Vacation Bible School The Daily Vacation Bible School of the Word of Life Chapel, RD1 Bainbridge, will be held for two weeks beginning June 12th. It starts at 7:00 PM each evening. The adult class will be taught by Pastor Abram Gish. Others, from College and Career ages down to nursery, will also be held. Each Wednesday evening the program will be pre- sented by a visiting mis- sionary. Director Dale Weaver has announced plans to contact as many families as possible in the Conoy and East Donegal areas. Every- one is welcome.
