April 19, 1978 Russel and Hazel Kulp Anniversary party Russel and Hazel Kulp were honored by their chil- dren and friends at a 25th wedding anniversary party at the First Church of God in Elizabethtown. Russ and Hazel were married on March 28th, 1953, in the same church. Russel is the son of the late Morris and Elsie Kulp. Hazel is the daughter of Mary Nauman and the late George Nauman. They lived in Elizabeth- Volleyball town till 1956 when they moved to 314 Birchland Ave., Mount Joy. Russ is employed at AMP in E-town and works part-time at Heisey Sunoco in Mount Joy. Hazel works in the bakery at Stehman’s in Elizabethtown. They have three daugh- ters: Deborah, wife of Robert Smeal, Maytown; and Michele and Amy, both at home. They have two grandchildren. Marathon The Donegal Education Association is sponsoring a vollyball marathon at W.L Beahm Junion High School on ‘April 21-22. The marathon will last twenty- four hours beginning on Friday the 21st at 3:00 PM and ending the 22nd at 3:00 PM. Students from Donegal will be seeking Lions’ pancak pledges based on the number of hours they participate. Proceeds from the marathon benfit the DEA higher Education Scholarship Fund. Every- one is welcome to visit. There will be a 25¢ contribution for non- participants. Be e beakfast Farm Women meet Farm Women's Society # 8 met in the home of Gladys Ney, Marietta April 15th. at 2 pm. Mrs. Roy Eshelman, from the Lancaster area presented the special feat- ure of the afternoon as she spoke on quilts. This-has been her work and hobby for twelve years. She taught a Penn State exten- sion course at the Farm and Home Center. She has had the priviledge of demonstrating her work at in Mount Vernon, Vir gin- ia. Many pointers on the history, construction, and care of these lovely pieces of handwork were given. The various kinds of quilts from the year 1750 to Pamela Wise Pamela Wise, the daugh- ter of Mr. and Mrs. Donald J. Wise, 919 W. Main Street, Mount Joy, will graduate from Lancaster County Day School on June 14th. DID YOU HEAR? Deb Bernhisel, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Roy Bernhisel of RD1 E-town, made the dean’s list at Susquehanna University. She was a Donegal grad.
