DULY ORDAINED AND ENACTED by the Borough Council of the Borough of Mount Joy this 8th day of May, 1978. eq ' J CIN ¢ Earth Week by Bob Stoner An ‘‘Earth Week’ res- olution was passed by the Mount Joy Borough Coun- cil on Monday, April 10th, at the request of the Mount Joy Jaycees. Mount Joy’s Mayor James Gingrich proclaimed Earth Week, April 14-21, at the Memorial Park, while the Mount Joy Jaycees were preparing to paint the park benches. The Jaycees decided that just asking for a desig- nation of Earth Week was not enough, so they decid- ed that they would provide the labor to repaint the park benches in the Mem- orial and Borough parks. The Jaycees would like to thank all those who will be participating in cleanup efforts. [Note: Mr. Stoner’s ori- ginal copy included the proclamation, but it was deleted her due to space considerations. -Ed.] Energy-saver course About S50 people from county businesses have enrolled in a S-week course given by PP&L which will teach them how to lessen their companies’ energy use.
