Hunter education course The Mount Joy Sports- men’s Association will again sponsor a Hunter Education Course on Satur- day, April 8th, starting at 12:30 PM. You can register at 12:00 at the clubhouse. No equipment need be brought. The PA Game Commis- sion reminds us that all persons under 16 must qualify to purchase their first hunting license by completing the course offered by the Association. Smedley FUNERAL HOME 29 NORTH GAY STREET, MARIETTA 426-3614 Mount Joy Lions pancake breakfast On the first day of Trout Season, Saturday, April 1S, the Mount Joy Lions will hold their annual pancake breakfast between 5:30 AM and 11 AM. The pancakes will be served at the Lions’ Activi- ty Building next to the pool. Cost is $1.75 far adults, $1.25 for kids. In former years, the Mount Joy Police would stop unsuspecting motorists along Main Street on the morning of the breakfast and pretend to arrest them. They would then take the ‘‘arrested’’ person to the pancake breakfast and treat him to his food. After the bee, winners pose. She is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Robert Schwert of 281 Marietta Avenue in Mount Joy. In the 14th round, runner Lancaster with Shelli as an entrant in the Lancaster County Spelling Bee spon- sored by the Lancaster Intell. In case one of the two girls can’t make the bee in April, Grace Snyder will be the alternate.
