McCurdy started with MYO baseball sign-up The “MYO” will sign up boys and girls wishing to play baseball this year on Thursday, March 16th, at 7 PM, and also on Saturday, March 18th, at 10 AM. Sign-up will be held in the Maytown Legion building. The fee is $3 per child. Those eligible to play are girls aged 8 through 16 (as of June 1st), and boys aged 8 through 16 (as of August 1st). Please come out and register so the teams can be determined for the year. Karen Albright in Merit Scholarship finals Karen Albright, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Marvin Albright of RDI Marietta, has advanced to Finalist standing in the 1978 Merit Scholarship competition. There are about 14,000 finalists na- tionwide; 3900 will win. Less than 2 of 1% of graduating seniors are Commonwealth as a book- keeper in 1963, via the former First National Bank of Elizabethtown, which later merged with Com- monwealth. He lives in Bainbridge with his wife Nancy and their son. March 8, 1978 Schools will make up snow days The Donegal School Board, at its Feb. 16 meeting, approved a revis- ed calendar for making up the 7 school days so far postponed due to weather. They are Feb. 20, April 17, March 27, June 8, 9, and 10, and June 12. Any further days, if needed, will probably be added after June 12th. Basketball banquet next Wednesday The 4th annual Donegal High School Basketball Banquet, sponsored by the Parents Booster Club, will be held on Wednesday, March 15th, at the Mount Paper drive Boy Scout troop 63 will hold their monthly paper collection in Mount Joy and Florin on Saturday, March 11th, from 8:30 to noon.
