The Counseling Service
for the Deaf, Inc., a United
Way Agency, will be
offering sign language
classes to all interested
people in Lancaster.
The classes will begin on
February 20th and 21st at
the Community Center at
630 Janet Avenue, Lancas-
ter. The Introduction to
Ameslan class starts the
20th, and Basic Sign Lan-
guage and English Idioms
in Sign classes start on the
21st. The fee is $30. Texts
are available at the classes.

Music awards
At the end of the second
marking period the schools
of the Donegal school
district announces the
names of students of
instrumental music who
have done well enough to
score a high number of
‘points.’ There are two
clubs— one consisting of
students who have scored
200 or more points and one
for students who have
scored 100 or more points.
Three students have
scored high enough to
make the 200 club. They
are: Susan Brandt of Seiler
School (294), Kevin Barn-
hart of Maytown School
(226) and Allen Bubacs, a
Seiler student with 221
points.
