As a matter of fact, many people got it, correctly guessing that the subject of the Mystery Photo is the surface of a burl-wood coffee table at The Leather Attic in Park City. Last week we promised Susquehanna Magazine subscriptions to the first three people who got it right. The grand winners are: Kim Laughlin, Rdl1, Sharon Drive, Mount Joy; Joette Keller, 268 Marietta Ave., Mount Joy; and Steve Eno, RD1 Marietta. As for the rest of the people who correctly iden- tified the object in their phone calls or cards, well... there were so many, that the editor went in the corner and wept at the thought of all those people who took the time to find the answer going without a subscription this Christ- mas. The publisher, seeing the editor so distraught, was overcome with Christmas Spirit. **There, there,’”’ the publisher said consolingly to the editor, “Don’t cry. We’ll give everyone a subscription!’ And so, everyone was happy, even though the publisher decided that it wouldn’t be fair to the three winners to give full year subscriptions to all, but that the runners up would get 6 month subs. Those who will get the 6 month subscriptions are: Amos Lichty, Alma Nissley, Amelia Gorman, Jessie Oberdorff, Tom and/or Gary Youndt, Carl Heil- man, Jody Bass & Pat Flowers, Kathy Bradley, Mrs. Ivan Hess, Penny Woods, Jeanette Hayman, S.C. Beyen, Scott Brightbill (who wrote on his postcard, **P.S. The suspense is almost unbearable?’’), Sarah Heckert, and Ken- neth Musser. DID YOU HEAR? Also, anyone who would like photos taken at any future basketball game or wrestling match, etc., please leave your name, phone, date and place at the the above number. SUSQUEHANNA TIMES—Page 15 Lots of winners in mystery photo contest Despite our extra clues of last week, some people, a minority, still didn’t get it. Some wrong guesses were: ‘A vulture,” ‘‘A fossil creature that lived millions of years ago on the Earth,” ‘“‘an upside down picture of people walking,” and the Park City fountain. The Susquehanna Times, in all future Mystery Photo prize contests, will accept ONLY postcards for replies. We accepted phone calls this time because we hadn’t stated our policy, except in the first Mystery Photo article. Two people who phoned in correct answers before we changed the rules to let all correct answers win, were told that they were too late to win. (We had been up all night straight- ening magazine copy to meet a printing deadline, which explains this grumpy response on our part.( If those folks will call us back and leave their names, we'll send booby prizes to them, too. Many thanks to all for your mental efforts. Donald D. Dinello, D.M.D., P.C. takes pleasure in announcing the association of Harry P.
