Spring Festival in Maytown
A small indian gets war paint
at the Maytown festival.
This one was popular. If the ball hits the center disc of the target, a mechanism is
activated which releases a latch holding up the bar on which Principal Lawrence is
sitting, thereby dunking him into the icy water in the vat below. He got wet.

The Maytown Parents/
Teachers in Partnership
held their Spring Festival
on Saturday, June 4 on the
Maytown School Grounds.
There was something for
everyone, including games
suck as Penny Pitch, Gob-
let Toss, Plate Breaking
(with teachers names writ-
ten on to give added
incentive), Fish Pond,
Make-up Booth, Balloons,
Cane Toss, and Duck Pond.
There also were stands
with items for sale includ-
ing the Children’s Delight
Bake Sale, Lollipop Tree,
plants, jewelry, books,
games, toys and a huge
yard sale. Refreshments
also were available.
The main attraction
seemed to be the Dunking
Booth. Some of the brave
(brrrrrr) teachers who vol-
unteered were Mrs. Bate-
man, Mrs. Wise, Mr. Forry
and Mr. John. Mrs. Mylin
and Mr. Lawrence braved
the cold morning air to get
dunked first!
The weather cooperated
“to give us a beautiful day.
Roy Matheny of May-
town was the winner of the
afghan which was chanced
off. Winners of the Cake
Walks were: Ist Walk -
Ron Hughes and 2nd -
Kevin Fantom.
Due to an oversight,
Mrs. Siegler’'s second
grade class was missed in
the Poster Contest. The
winner was Scott Brallier
who received $2.00 worth
of fair tickets. Our apolo-
gies to Mrs. Siegler and
her class!
The PTP wishes to issue
a special thank you to all
the teachers, parents and
students who cooperated
and worked so hard to
make the Festival a huge
