77 June 8, 1977 Susanna Boyd weds Craig Mo wrer Miss Susanna J. Boyd, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. David C. Boyd, 24 South River Street, Maytown, be- came the bride of Mr. Craig R. Mowrer, 612 South Sixteenth Street, Columbia, on Saturday, June 4, at 10:30 a.m. The Reverend W. Robert May, pastor of Zion Evangelical Lutheran Church (the scene of the marriage) performed the ceremony. The bride, given in marriage by her father, . wore a floor-length Ala Mode gown with cluny lace trim. The full length sleeves of cluny lace were adorned with seed pearls, as was the bodice. The princess lined gown flowed into a cathedral train with a ~ deep flounce of cluny lace. Her cathedral length man- tia was trimmed with the ~~ same type lace. She carried a cascade bouquet of white garden- ~ jas, roses, carnations, stephenatios and baby by breath. Miss Bonnie Arnold, Maytown, served as maid of honor and bridesmaids were: Miss Jane Reynolds, New .Salem, Pa., cousin of the bride, Miss Jill Shupp, Mount Joy; Miss Diane Gilchrist, Marietta, and Miss Robbin Roberts, Mar- ietta, cousin of the groom. Regan Kresge of Lancaster, the bride's cousin, was flower girl, and Scott Kautz of Maytown was ringbear- er. The bride graduated from Donegal High School, class of '73, and is employ- ed by Wyeth Laboratories. Marietta. The groom grad- uated from Hempfield High School class of '73 and is employed by Wyeth Labor- atories, Marietta. Firehouse food The Ladies Auxiliary of the Mount Joy Fire Co. will hold a food sale on Friday, June 17th in front of the & Mrs. Craig R. Mowrer Serving as best man was Robert Leaman of Colum- bia. Ushers were: William Houseal, Mount Joy, the brides cousin, William Misal, R.D. #1, Columbia, Thomas Lupold, Elizabeth- town, and Ricky Siegrist, Manheim, cousin of the groom. Mrs. Mary Ann Shope, R.D. #1, Marietta, was organist and Mrs. Dietrick, Conover, N.C., cousin of the bride, was soloist. David Kautz, Maytown, was acolyte. Mr. and Mrs. Robert Mount Joy National Central Bank at 3:30 p.m. Anyone who wishes to Salunga Night Festival Salunga Fire Co. will hold a Night Festival, June 24th and 25th, starting at S p.m. There will be games, food and Bingo. Music will be by Jay Eddie both nights from 7 to 11 p.m. Fireworks on Friday night and the drawing for the TV and CB will be held at 10 p.m. Saturday. Scout camporee On May 27th, 220 scouts and leaders from North- western Lancaster County attended the St. Lawrence District Camporee, in Mor- rison Island Park, Morris- burg, Ontario, Canada. The First International Camporee for this area was held last fall at the Bashore Scout Reservation, when 84 scouts and leaders from Canada attended the fall camporee. Scouts from Lancaster County and Canada formed new patrols and spent the weekend participating in scouting skills and fellow- ship. The following troops and their leaders participated: Mount Joy, David Miller; Maytown, Elwood Myers; Bainbridge, Christian Strickler; and Rheems, Lawrence Floyd. Carroll Jr. were gift reciev- ers and registars. Following the reception in the church social hall the couple left for a wedding trip thru Virginia and West Virginia. They will reside in R.D. #1, Elizabethtown. Mr. and Mrs. Reuben Mowrer, the grooms par- ents, were hosts at the post rehearsal dinner at Avalon, York.
