The parish rejoic- ed in the fact that eleven children of the Mr. & Mrs. John Rios family were welcomed into the life of the Christian community. Aristede S. Red, Rector, greeted the whole family at the vestibule to signify that he represented the whole Christian community, and Marietta Contributions are being solicited in the Marietta area for the annual chil- dren’s fair. Food for the luncheon stand, used toys for the toy booth, used furniture, dishes, baked goods, home made candies, cookies, or crafts will be accepted. The benefit, for the summer supervised play- ground activities at Mariet- ta Memorial Park, will be held Saturday, June 11. The parade will start at 10:30 a.m. from the square, with music by the Wilbur I. Beahm Junior High School Band. The pet parade will follow the baby that the people anxiously awaited to have the chil- dren bronght into the church. Father Red greet- ed the family in the name of the Lord, explaining that in Christ’s name they would be baptized and would constitute the one people in Christ. Mr. and Mrs. Rios pre- sented the following chil- dren for baptism: John Manuel Jr., Paul John, Margaret Ann, Joan Rach- el, David John, Matthew John, Rachel John, Debor- ah Guillan, Philip John, Daniel John, and Maryann Guillan.
