Ninety- three attended. JEIE rr First Federal April 20, 1977 Cubs fly kites Cub "Scout Pack 353, Maytown, held a kite flying contest on Saturday, April 16th at the Maytown Fire Hall grounds. The kites entered were constructed by the cubs and their fathers. Winners were: Best aviator—John Bie- secker, Den 1. Best design and appear- ance—Brian Murphy, Den 2 Honorable Mentions— Jes Gilmartin, Den 1; Lee Wise, Den 2; and Greg Pennington, Den 1. Den advancement awards were also made by cub- master Miller. A chicken corn soup and bake sale was held by the pack preceeding the kite contest. A special thank-you to everyone who helped make it a success. Peanut scramble at Mount Joy Sr. Center The Mount Joy Senior Center will be responsible for the outdoor games and peanut scramble at the Lancaster County Office of Aging’s annual picnic to be held at the Lancaster Coun- ty Park, Kiwanis Pavillion, Friday, April 22, 1977 from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. (Rain date April 29, 1977). Approximately 300 Senior Citizens, all partici- pants of the centers, will be meeting to share a day of activities, games, enter- tainments, and a picnic lunch. Activities for the day will include nature walks, a country western band, hay- rides, peanut scramble, 3- wheeled bike rides, table games, horseshoes, bad- minton, shuffleboard, and many others.
