Citizens’ Advisory
compares E.Q.A.’s
On Wednesday, January
19, 1977 the Long Range
Planning Citizen's Advisory
Council of the Donegal
School District met in the
Riverview library.
The group concerned it-
self with comparing the
results of the needs as-
sessment which was con-
ducted in March of 1976
with the Educational Qual-
ity Assessment which was
administered in 1974. The
E.Q.A. was handled by the
Pennsylvania Department
of Education and was given
to grades S, 8 and 11.
While the two surveys
clearly showed various
needs, it appeared that the
greatest priority was that of
communications with both
staff and community.
Other concerns listed in
priority ordered were:
Accountability; Build-
Academics; Organi-
zational Structure; Mater-
ials and Supplies; Cultural
Pursuits and Extra-
curricular.
The advisory council is
made up of representatives
from various groups from
within the..school and the
community.
The group is charged
with the responsibility of
making recommendations
to the school board con-
cerning future district long
range planning.
