The Lodge will celebrate
its centennial Oct. 1 with a
banquet at the Hamilton
Club in Lncaster, with the
Grand Master and other
Grand Lodge officers at-
tending.
Jay Smith, the new
master of the lodge, is a
registered professional en-
gineer employed by the
Pennsylvania Department
of Transportation. A grad-
uate of Manheim Twp.
High School, he attended
Stevens Trade School and
the Penn State Center of
Harrisburg. He is a mem-
ber of all the Scottish Rite
Masonic bodies; the Amer-
ican Society of Highway
Engineers; and Chiques
United Methodist Church,
which he serves as youth
coordinator on the admin-
istrative board and youth
Sunday School teacher. He
is married to the former
Nancy Trout of Marticville,
and they have two dought-
ers and a son.
Smith will announce the
following appointive offic-
ers of the lodge at the
stated meeting of Jan. 7:

Casiphia Lodge was
founded Sept. 21, 1877. It
meets on the Friday on or
before full moon, making it
one of the few ‘‘moon
lodges’’ in Pennsylvanis
Freemasonry.

Dance Marathon on March
11 and 12 for the benefit of
the American Heart As-
sociation, Lancaster Penn-
svivania Chapter.
The Sorority girls are

bands to donate their time
