Given in marriage by her father, the bride wore a gold crepe gown trimmed with beige lace. She grad- uated from Donegal High School and is employed by Masonic Homes Hospital, Elizabethtown. The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Glenn L. Arnold. She was graduated from Donegal High School and Emile’s Academy of Cosmetology. She is self employed as the owner/ operator of a beauty salon. The bridegroom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Reu- ben Goodling, S512 West Main Street, Mount Joy. Bridemaids were Jean Morris, Annandale, cancer in Mount Joy nets $270 Swimmers at 41 county pools which participated in the fourth annual Save-A- Life— Swim for Cancer Program have turned over a total of $25,321.62 to the Lancaster County Unit of the American Cancer Society, it has been an- nounced by John F. Apple, chairman of the event. Twenty-seven swimmers from the Mount Joy pool made $720 for cancer work through the Lions Club program. Miss Karen Grieder, Mount Joy, was maid of honor. Bridesmaids were: Miss Betsy Barto, Hyatts- ville, MD; Miss Janet Musser, Mount Joy; Miss Bonnie Arnold, Maytown; and Miss Marcella Pappas, Marietta. DHS class of ’66 holds reunion by Hazel Baker Sixty-three members of the class ~f '66 of Donegal High School celebrated their tenth year since graduating from that school with a weekend of activi- ties. Over 100 people attended a dinner dance at the Car- penters Inn, Elizabethtown, Saturday night. The group danced to the featured band the ‘‘Moonstones.” Michael Kear, president, awarded prizes to these person: The classmate who plac- ed the first reservation, Sue Zuch, won a free drink. Classmate with the youngest children, Jim Ressler with twins. Classmate traveling the greatest distance, Barry Watts of South Carolina, won play money for gas. Classmate with the most children, Patsy Hooper Ney won a bottle of aspirin. Classmate driving a model ‘66 car, Sherril Gurshall won car wax. Classmates losing the most hair, Barry and Rob- ert Myers won combs. Classmate with the most gray hair, Gary deCarlton won hair dye. Members received Arm- etal ware as a memoir of the anniversary. A family picnic ended the celebration. The picnic was held at Sico Park on Sunday with 140 persons attending. Donnie G. Boyer, Candi- date for the State House of Representatives 98th Dis- trict, pledged that in this campaign he will discuss with the voters, the issues that face us today. Douglas Trower, speak- ing on behalf of William Green for the U.S. Senate, stated that Bill Green is a young, talented, hardwork- ing Congressman, and has been praised by many Americans such as John Gardner, Chairman of Common Cause, Ralph Nader, and Jack Anderson. Anderson said that William Green is one of the ten most effective good people in Congress, Trower said. Mike Minney, Candidate for U.S. Congress, spoke on the problems concerning America today: older Americans, education, energy, health care, and the economy. James M. Weaver, De- puty Secretary of Labor and views Industry, speaking on be- half of Jimmy Carter for President, stated that the people of this country have an opportunity to vote for an honest, open, compas- sionate and responsible American for President.
