In order to become one, Joe had to be a Senior Rigger, then serve a two year appren- ticeship and pass a battery of F.A.A. tests. Since leaving the Navy, Joe has been practicing his trade at home in Lewis- berry, PA. He makes custom parachutes in ten different styles.
