Sumpman, 74, of 541 East Market Street, Marietta, died Thursday at 11:30 a.m.. in the Colum- bia Hospital after a lengthy illness. He was the hus- band of Clara M. Banner Sumpman. Born in East Donegal Township, he was a son of the late Abram P. and Katic Ream Sumpman. A retired employee of the former Marietta Transport- ation Corp., Depot, he was a member of the Marietta Beneficial Association, and the Susquehanna Beneficial RAY A. Ray A. Peck, 74, of 329 East Walnut Street, Mari- etta, died Sunday at 35:50 a.m.. at St. Joseph Hospi- tal after a lengthy illness. He was the husband of Mabel Paules Swartz Peck. Born in Maytown, a son of Frederick D. and Annie L. Markley Peck, he was a retired engineer, having worked for the PA Railroad Association, Marietta. Surviving in addition to his widow, are three daughters, Mrs. Claire Wise. Marietta, Edna, wife of Donald Manley, Colum- bia, and Ruth, wife of Eugene H. Roth, Wrights- ville. Also surviving are 12 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren; and two sisters and two brothers, Mrs. Myrtle Mosteller, Wrightsville. Mrs. Marie Lautenslager, Klinesville, and Harry and Melvin Sumpman. both of Columbia. PECK for 3S vears. Raised in the Lutheran faith, he was a member of the Brotherhood of Railroad Trainmen. WISMAN Mrs. Susan E. Wisman, 75. of 133 West Walnut Street, Marietta, died Sun- day at 10:55 a.m. at her home after an illness of two years. She was the wife of Rea S. Wisman. He is survived only by his widow and is the last of his immediate tamily. SUSAN D. ESHELMAN Mrs. Susan D. Eshelman 88, Marietta RI, died un- expectedly Sunday while visiting a daughter, Mrs. Ella M. Weisser, of Col- umbia. She had been under the care of a physician. A native and lifelong resident of the Marietta area, she was a daughter of the late Walter and Ella McCann Blodgett and the widow of William Eshel- man. She was a member of St. Luke's Lutheran Church, Bainbridge. Survivors include four children, Mrs. Ella M. Weisser, Columbia; Joseph B.. Jacksonville, Fla.: Richard B., Elizabethtown; and Peggy A., wife of C. Robert Swope, Marietta R1, with whom she resi- ded. 11 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
