The board denied the New Standard Corp's re- quest to raise the roof on its present factory to ac- commodate a new press. The New Standard Corp., a metal stamping company was denied the request, the board said, because enough objectionable noise was already produced by the corporation. The zoning board said, however, if the company would be able to rectify some of the present objec- tions, they could refile their petition and it would be reconsidered. Forty-two girls participated. The permanent staff at the camp includes; Emil Swift, Pat Wallace, Mimi Sankowski, Kathy Hogarth, John Fellenbaum, Mike Mitto, and Bill Earhart. Specialists were; Mary Ann Crawford, Renee Muth, John Clark and Bob Dean. DID YOU HEAR... Grace Hoffman, of Bain- bridge, is at home again after being a surgical patient at St. Joseph's Hospital. National Standard has picnic National-Standard Co., Mount Joy Plant, held their annual family picnic on Sunday, June 20 at the Mount Joy Legion Picnic Grounds. Approximately 350 people attended. The children were enter- tained by Clown, Lou Myers, and Magicians, Mark Allen & Chris. Music was provided by Glenn Garber at the organ. Winners of prizes award- ed were N-S employees, Samuel Shertzer, Lloyd Schaffner, Carl Peretti, Harry Frye, and Jerry Clay. DID YOU HEAR...
