to fight Multiple Sclerosis. Mrs. Elizabeth Dolfinger, area

MS months declared
by Mayor Gingrich
Mayor James A. Gingrich
has urged residents of
Mount Joy to support the
1976 Multiple Scleroris
Hope Chest Campaign be-
ing conducted by the Lanc-
aster Chapter of the Nation-
al Multiple Sclerosis Society
now through Father’s Day,
June 20.
In a proclamation present-
ed to Mrs. Elizabeth Dolf-
inger, Area Coordinator, the
Mayor declared May 9
through June 20, to be the
official ‘Conquer Multiple
Sclerosis Months.”’
The cause of multiple
sclerosis is unknown, and as
yet, there is no preventive or
cure for this disabling
disease of the central
nervous system. It is gener-
ally first diagnosed in the
prime family and career-
building years between the
ages of 20 and 40, and its
physical, psychological, and
economic effects can be
devastating.
Volunteers are still need-
ed in the Mount Joy area for
House to House Convas-
sing. Those who would give
their time for this cause can
contact Mrs. George R.
Dolfiner at 367-6223.
