Gingrich has urged residents of Mount Joy to support the 1976 Multiple Scleroris Hope Chest Campaign be- ing conducted by the Lanc- aster Chapter of the Nation- al Multiple Sclerosis Society now through Father’s Day, June 20. In a proclamation present- ed to Mrs. Elizabeth Dolf- inger, Area Coordinator, the Mayor declared May 9 through June 20, to be the official ‘Conquer Multiple Sclerosis Months.”’ The cause of multiple sclerosis is unknown, and as yet, there is no preventive or cure for this disabling disease of the central nervous system. It is gener- ally first diagnosed in the prime family and career- building years between the ages of 20 and 40, and its physical, psychological, and economic effects can be devastating. Volunteers are still need- ed in the Mount Joy area for House to House Convas- sing. Those who would give their time for this cause can contact Mrs. George R. Dolfiner at 367-6223.
