Jim has a barn full of old cars in various stages of repair behind his River St., Maytown home. Jim and his son, Jim Jr., do the body and fender work on their cars. Jim’s wife Wilma remakes car interiors. Daughters Beth and Cindy also help out and are frequent contributors to the Chuck Wagon News, a journal devoted to antique and classic cars. The Prowells and their relatives are members of an antique car club in Hershey, and tours organized by the club give the clan a chance to get together often. ‘I think a lot of the fun in this hobby is the people you meet,”’ Jim says. Jim, who teaches 7th and 8th grade math at Beahm Jr. High, was introduced to car restoration by music teacher Glen Leib.
