Reception for new pastor The Parish Council of Catholic Women of St. Mary's Church, Mount Joy, will hold a drop-in reception for their new pastor on Sunday, April 4, from 2-4 p.m. in the social hall of St. Mary's, Marietta. All members of the Mount Joy congregation are invited to attend and meet Father Michael. Morrin to speak Harold B. Morrin, a talented and resourceful speaker will present an illustrated lecture on ‘‘The Religions of the World”, a Bicentennial period, a short business session, songfest and refreshments at the next meeting of the Lan- caster Chapter #530 of the AARP, on Friday, April 9th at 1 p.m. Guests are invited. Levertov poetry Poet Denise Levertov will present a reading at Eliza- bethtown College on Thurs- day, April 1, at 8 p.m., in Rider Hall. It is open to the public without charge. Born in London, Miss Levertov published her first book, ‘‘The Double Image’ there in 1946. But since her arrival in the United States in 1948, she has been considered an American poet, having published nine books as well as various small press pamphlets here. DID YOU HEAR... Marietta Police Sergeant Steve Englert made a diffi- cult arrest last Tuesday. Steve reportedly had to chase a motorcyclist halfway across Marietta.
