To start off the night all parents were given name tags as they came in. They were then seated in a reserved section of the bleachers. After the regularly sche- duled JV match, there was a special old times match. The Oldtimers were actually alumni from previous Done- gal wrestling teams. Some of the oldtimers were recent graduates from DHS such as Jeff Ruhl, Cary “Tyke’’ Albright, and Jim Mohr. Gene Mohr was the referee for the match. As the oldtimers match came to an end, the current wrestlers’ parents were asked to move from the gym to the lobby. The parents were then introduced as their sons walked over to greet them and escort them to their seats. All of the mothers who attended were given green and white carnations. After all the parents were introduced, the cheerlead- ers were met by the senior wrestlers. The girls also received green and white carnations. Once all the introductions were made, the Varsity match got under way. The Donegal grapplers choked Cedar Crest with a 55-3 score. The JV team shut out the Cedar Crest JV’s 32-0.
