JOHN’S YOUTH by David Marley The youth of St. John’s Episcopal Church of Mari- etta, have been very active the past few months. One of their most recent activities was on December 21. On this night they had a Christmas carol sing in which all of the youth of the church could participate. Afterwards, they went to the church parish for refresh- ments. One of their ongoing activities is on Friday nights from 7-9 p.m. They have what is called fun-night. During this time they play games supplied by the church or they can bring their own. This night is sponsored by the youth group for all the youth of the church and their guests. Another ongoing activity is on Saturday mornings. The ycuth group is cleaning up the church basement, in hepes of using it for a meeting place sometime in the future. It is proving to be quite a job though because it has been left in its present state since the floed in '72. Some of the adults of the congregation are even be- coming invelved in this pro- ject either by donating materials or fixing broken tables and chairs.
