a - We understand, says the Lancas
ter Daily Inquirer, that the extensive
iron works at Safe Harbor are about
resuming operations. They have been
thoroughly overhauled and repaired,
new boilers introduced into the furnace
and other improvements made. The
rolling mill, it is expected, will start
this week. The furnace has been kept
back, waiting for the s new boilers, one
of which passed through this.-eity last
week, but this will not detain the rolling
mill as a large amount of blooms have
been received at the works and are now
awaiting the power' of steam, fire and
muscle to convert them into a more use
ful state.

a horrible bowl, bumping and a falling

boy was half murdered by the shock,
