John Jay Lib hart, - esq., was called to the chair and Iteco. H. Ettla to the secretary's desk.— Tito chairman, in a few pertinent re tfiarks, stated the object of the meeting to be to urge our borough council to offer bounties for volimteers and to send a delegation to tht'a County meet lag, called by the County Commission ers, to represent this borough and its sentiments, with regard to bounties, in that Corvention. They have been thoroughly overhauled and repaired, new boilers introduced into the furnace and other improvements made. The rolling mill, it is expected, will start this week. So the doctor made ready a heavy charge of electricity, placed a wire to the door bell knob, and sat down to'wait.
