Now tfmt efforts are being made to straighten our roads and at the same time avoid hills would it not be a good idea tu change the road leading from Layton to Dingman bridge by locating the road beginning at Port Layton's wagon house up the ravine east of the present road crossing the meadow of -Arlie Major and striking the main road near the residence of D. II. Lattimore. This route would avoid a long, steep hill. Very few attended the Lake Grin nell picnic Sa(urday from this" section. Nor sweeping, nor sewing; But everything there Is Exactly to my wishes, For when they don't eat There's no washing dlBhes. I'll be where loud anthems Will always be ringing; But, having no voice, I'll get clear of the singing. Don't mourn for me now. Don't mourn for me ever; I'm going to do nothing For ever and ever.'
